Privacy Policy
Effective April 14, 2026
We built Honey Where's My?! to help you figure out what your stuff is worth. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. No legalese, just plain talk.
Who We Are
Honey Where's My is a product of RB-REACTIONS, Co., a Delaware corporation.

What We Collect
Photos
When you scan an item, your phone camera captures a photo. Scan photos are sent to the Google Gemini API so it can identify the item and estimate a value. By default, scan photos stay on your device. If you use Seller features, the listing photo you choose is uploaded to Honey so we can prepare marketplace posts and hosted listing media. Google and our other providers may retain submitted data according to their own terms and policies.
Barcode Scanning
When a barcode is detected, only the barcode number (not the photo) is sent to UPCitemdb for product lookup. No personal information, location data, or images are transmitted during barcode lookups. We do not use barcode data to infer purchase history.
GPS / Location Data
If you allow it, we record low-accuracy GPS coordinates at scan time to help you remember where items were scanned. This is completely optional.
- Location data stays on your device by default. If you sign in and sync your inventory, related location fields may also be stored with your account data.
- There is no background location tracking. GPS is only requested when you actively scan.
- Location names (like "Dad's Warehouse") stay local unless you choose account-backed sync features.
- Exact GPS coordinates are not included in CSV exports or shared content by default.
Inventory Data
Your scanned inventory is stored on your device first. If you sign in, inventory metadata such as item names, values, notes, scan timestamps, and related location fields may sync to Honey so your account can load that inventory again. Seller listing photos may also be uploaded when you use marketplace features. We never sell your inventory data to third parties. AI-generated valuations are estimates only, not professional appraisals.
Email Address
If you subscribe through Stripe, we collect your email address. We use it only for account management and payment receipts. That's it.
Usage Data
On the web, we use Meta Pixel to track consented usage patterns, like page views, scan events, and subscriptions. This helps us understand how people use the web app and deliver relevant advertising through Meta. The Pixel does not receive your photos, inventory contents, item values, or GPS coordinates. You can turn this tracking off in the web app's Settings, and our public pages honor that choice. The iOS app does not use Meta Pixel or cross-app ad tracking.
Payment Data
Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.
Public Honey Listings
If you create a public Honey listing, the item title, description, asking price, selected listing photo, and city/state you choose become publicly visible at a shareable Honey link. We do not publish your exact GPS coordinates, private notes, full address, phone number, or seller email on the public page.
When a buyer sends a message through a public listing, we collect the buyer's name, email address, message, and basic anti-abuse information so we can relay the inquiry to you by email. The buyer sees only a success or error message. Your email address is not shown on the public listing page.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the scanning and identification service
- To process your payments
- To improve app accuracy over time
- To deliver relevant advertising through Meta
- To host public listing pages you choose to create and relay buyer inquiries to the seller
Third-Party Services
We work with these outside services to make the app run:
- Google Gemini API for AI-powered item identification and value estimates (Google Privacy Policy)
- UPCitemdb for barcode product lookups (UPCitemdb Privacy Policy)
- Stripe for payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
- Meta / Facebook for analytics and advertising (Meta Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare for hosting and security (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare Email Service for relaying public-listing buyer inquiries to sellers who create Honey listing pages
Data Security
All data transmitted between your device and third-party services uses HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher encryption. Scan photos stay local unless you choose Seller features that require a hosted listing image. Signed-in inventory metadata and seller media may be stored in Honey's backend systems so account and marketplace features can work. We practice data minimization: we collect only what is needed to provide the service.
How Long We Keep Data
- Photos: Scan photos stay on your device unless you upload a listing photo through Seller features. Hosted listing media is retained until you delete it, delete the related item, or delete your account, subject to backup and legal retention requirements.
- Account data: Retained while your account is active. Deleted on request.
- Analytics: Anonymized data retained for up to 2 years.
Your Rights
- You can delete local data anytime from Honey Settings with Delete Local Data on This Device, or by clearing your browser data.
- Signed-in users can initiate account deletion inside Honey Settings with Delete Account and Synced Data. If you cannot access the app, email us at hello@honeywheresmy.com.
- California residents: You have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
- EU residents: You have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Children
This app is intended only for people who are 18 or older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service, and we will delete account data we learn was provided by someone under 18.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
Future Features
We may introduce additional cloud storage, buyer marketplace features, or API access in the future. If we do, we will update this policy before launching those changes to explain any new data collection, storage, or sharing. We will notify you of material changes and give you the choice to opt in where required.
